Jobs, Finance Jobs, Accounts Jobs, CA Jobs, Finance Jobs New Zealand

How to find the right jobseeker easiliy for even difficult roles within the Finance and Accountancy sectors – my testimonial.

As a recruiter we all know that some positions are easier to fill than others, and while in some cirumstances you can educate a client to bring down thier wish list of skills and experience to meet the market there are numbers of roles where you simply need to find a specialist advertising service.

For example FinanceJobs.co.nz is a niche jobsite in New Zealand, where you can advertise at quite a reasonable price to a selected audience of jobseekers.

The thing I found about using jobsites is that sometimes by advrtising on general jobsites that try to fill every type of vacancy for you, that you simply get bogged down with lots of applicants that are not relevent. This makes the situation even worse!

So in comparision using a jobsite that specialises in the target market of accounting jobs and finance jobs makes life so much easier. The response you get is much better, more targeted, and better quality.

Advertising on Finance jobs means that our company also gets noticed as being an “expert” in the field of finance recruitment, this makes the whole process so mcuh easier. Candidates can see quite clearly that we are not a generalist recruitment agency and that we do actually work in thier niche.

Generally I check on the site also to see what my competitors are advertising for, this way I can keep up to date with whats happening in the market in terms of salary, locations, and types of role that are being advertised.

I also make a point of telling my clients that I advertise on specialist industry websites – this gives them some peace of mind that I know what I am doing, and that there job vacancy has a very good chance of being filled.

The things that I learnt…
- Make sure you advertise a salary, in these gloomy economic times you really need to sell a job advert and by placing a salary on the advert it can be the call to action that you need.
- Always indicate the benefits of the salary package as well, try to sell the package rather than just the basic salary
- Always write as much as possible about the job. Writing five lines these days just doesnt cut it.
- Always make use of editing your job ad, if it isnt working out – try to make some changes on the text. You’ll be extremely surprised that 99% of all recruitment consultants simply place there advert , leave them for 30 days and wonder why they didnt get as much ad response as they hoped for…! be proactive.
- Always clearly put your name, tel number and mobile number on the ad. Even tell the reader that they can contact you upto say 9pm in the evening. Always make it easy for them to get in touch with you.

Good luck with your online recruitment campaigns, and one last tip. If every recruiter is advertising on general jobsites, just take a step further, be different with a unique approach and you’ll uncover a potential goldmine of specilialst canddiates, and when you’re beating your competitors time and time again they’ll wonder where you are obtaining these unique candidates.
